Somatic Healing Retreats · Spring 2027

Finally,
in the same room.

After years of transformative work online, I’m coming to the States for a small series of in-person weekend intensives, held in wide-open nature, away from the noise, so you can focus entirely on your next breakthrough.

Early bird

Five early bird spots are available for the group intensive.

The intention

Same continent. Same room. Deeper work.

Digital spaces let us connect across borders, and that virtual format will always be the heartbeat of my work. But since moving to London, I haven’t been back to the States in over two years, and many of you I’ve never met in real life.

Working together in person is one of the most powerful ways to make significant, rapid progress. These intensives are a chance to step out of your daily routines, into an open and grounding environment, and give your nervous system the time and space it’s been asking for.

Meet Jenna

I am a neuroscientist and therapist and treat the effects of PTSD, complex trauma, parental narcissism and emotional immaturity on the body and brain at both the brain and nervous system levels but also the molecular levels for a truly holistic approach. You cannot think or talk your way out of trauma. I work directly with the entire body to retrain the brain and nervous system toward healing.

1:1 intensive and group intensive

What we’ll work on together

Somatic and nervous system work, because intellectual knowledge has not been enough

You can explain exactly why family visits make you anxious, and now your shoulders actually drop when you walk through the door.

Anxiety, hypervigilance, chronic stress

You can sit in a busy restaurant without tracking every exit and every face, and your jaw isn’t clenched by the end of the meal.

Low self worth, harsh inner critic

After a mistake at work, the voice in your head sounds more like a kind friend than a disappointed parent.

People pleasing, fawning, self abandoning

When a friend asks for a favor you don’t have room for, you can pause and check in with yourself before the automatic yes comes out.

Lost sense of self

When someone asks what you want, for dinner or for your life, you actually have an answer.

Boundaries, saying no, guilt

You decline a holiday invitation and spend the evening feeling settled instead of replaying the conversation for days.

Freeze, shutdown, dissociation

In a hard conversation you stay present in your body and can find your words, instead of going blank and thinking of what to say hours later.

Feeling stuck despite years of work

The pattern you’ve talked about in therapy for years finally changes in how you react, not just in how well you understand it.

Issues in your relationships and attachment

When your partner needs some space, you can give it to them without spiraling into fear that they’re leaving.

Anger, rage, resentment

You can feel anger as useful information and express it clearly, without exploding or swallowing it.

Developing somatic presence

You notice your breath getting shallow in a meeting and can bring yourself back before the stress takes over.

Expanding your somatic vocabulary and capacity for somatic resonance

Instead of “I feel bad,” you can say “there’s tightness in my chest and heat in my face,” and you can sense when someone else’s state is affecting yours.

Supporting the autonomic nervous system (ANS)

After a stressful day your system can actually come back down, so you fall asleep instead of lying awake wired.

Restoration of the nervous system’s innate resilience

A setback knocks you off balance for an afternoon instead of a week.

Interoceptive recalibration

A raised voice in the next room or an unanswered text no longer sends your whole body into alarm, because your system can tell the difference between real danger and simple discomfort.

Neuroception

You walk into a room full of kind people and your body registers that it’s safe, so you can relax and connect.

Uncoupling trauma from your daily life’s responses

Your partner’s sigh can simply be a sigh, instead of setting off the same dread you felt as a child waiting to see what mood your parent was in.

Attachment patterns

You start choosing people who are consistent and kind, and their steadiness feels comforting instead of boring.

Family of origin trauma

You can spend a weekend with your family and come home feeling like yourself, instead of like the younger version of you who had to survive that house.

Group intensive

1:1 intensive ↓

Group trauma healing intensive

Research shows that trauma impairs our ability to have healthy relationships with others.

Healing cannot happen while continuously in connection with unsafe people or environments.

Healing happens in the safety of a group that is committed to growth and healing themselves.

You will be held in the safety of a group that understands.

Who it’s for

For bright, big-hearted, hard-working people who are ready to stop circling the same patterns.

Whether you’ve spent years in talk therapy and still feel stuck, or you’re newer to this work and want a real starting point, these intensives offer something a weekly session can’t: extended, embodied time to work with stress, trauma and family-of-origin patterns, held in a small group.

01

You’ve done a lot of talking about it. Now you want to feel the shift in your body.

02

You notice how your family of origin still shows up in your relationships today.

03

You want uninterrupted time, away from daily routines, to focus entirely on your healing.

04

You’re drawn to experiential work (movement, touch and ceremony) alongside others on the same path.

The setting

Mountain air and wide-open space in Bend, Oregon and Bozeman, Montana.

Instead of busy city centers, we’ll gather in a beautiful, expansive retreat house surrounded by nature, with cozy fireplaces, bright open rooms and room to breathe. You can choose from either location.

Planning your trip

Plan around this like you would a major surgery.

My work is deeply transformative, even for people who have spent more than 10 years in talk therapy, so I want you to have time to land before and after.

If you’re coming for a 1:1 intensive, I recommend booking your hotel for three nights: the night you arrive, the night of your intensive and the night after.

For the group intensives, you’ll fly into a nearby airport, and the retreat house will be 90 minutes away at most, likely closer. We finish by 10 a.m. on Sunday, so plan to stay one more night locally before you fly home.

I also suggest giving yourself a slow, restful day after your retreat, like a spa day. My retreat coordinator, Katie, can help you plan it, along with hotels, transportation and extras like a scheduled massage, for an additional cost.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

What’s the difference between the 1:1 intensive and the group intensive?

The 1:1 is a bespoke, day-long private therapy retreat with me at my Airbnb in nature, with a private welcome dinner at a restaurant the night before, lunch and dinner on your intensive day, and 14 hours with me in total, including 3 private sessions (2 before and 1 after). You stay at your own hotel. The group intensive is a Thursday–Sunday weekend with 5–6 participants at the retreat house, with 6 hours of experiential group work on each full day, plus 3 nights’ lodging and meals included.

How do I choose between them?

The 1:1 is entirely focused on you: your past, your present challenges and your future. The group intensive offers the experience of being held by a small group that understands. If you’re not sure which is right for you, schedule a consult and we’ll talk it through.

How much does each one cost?

The group intensive is $3,900 (regularly $4,200), and the 1:1 intensive is $6,500. Both can be paid in full or with a 3- or 6-payment plan. The 3-payment plans expire December 15 and the 6-payment plans expire November 15.

How do I save my spot?

For a 1:1, schedule a consult with me first, then enroll in your chosen date with a payment plan. For the group intensive, you can enroll directly in Bend or Bozeman, or schedule a consult first if you have questions.

Where will the retreat be held?

In Bend, Oregon and Bozeman, Montana. You can choose from either location.

When are the dates?

Group trauma healing intensives: Bend, March 25–28, 2027 and Bozeman, April 8–11, 2027, arriving by 5 p.m. Thursday and finishing by 10 a.m. Sunday. Bespoke individual intensives: Bend, March 22 or 24, 2027 and Bozeman, April 7 or 12, 2027.

What does “all-inclusive” cover for the group intensive?

6 hours of experiential group work on each full day, 3 nights’ lodging at the retreat house, farm-to-table meals from Thursday dinner through Sunday breakfast, somatic yoga and meditation, hiking together, creative art processing, a sound bath (if available) and help from a dedicated retreat coordinator. Airfare and transportation to and from the retreat house are not included.

Can I share a room to lower the cost?

A shared room (not a shared bed) may be available at a discounted rate, but it is not guaranteed.

Where will I stay?

For the group intensive, 3 nights’ lodging at the retreat house is included. For a 1:1, you’ll stay at your own hotel. Katie will coordinate a 4- or 5-star stay for you, but the cost of the hotel is not included. I recommend 3 nights: the night you arrive, the night of your intensive and the night after.

Which meals are included?

For the group intensive, farm-to-table meals are included from Thursday dinner through Sunday breakfast, curated to meet your dietary needs. For a 1:1, a private welcome dinner with me at a restaurant the night before, plus lunch and dinner on your intensive day, are included.

Can you accommodate dietary restrictions?

Yes. Dietary restrictions will be honored in all included meals. My retreat coordinator will reach out after you enroll to learn about your needs.

How are bedrooms assigned at the retreat house?

Bedrooms are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis, in the order enrollments are received. Not all rooms have a private en suite bathroom, so a private en suite is not guaranteed.

Is there an early bird discount?

Yes, for the group intensive. Five early bird spots are available when you enroll before October 31. Use code GROUPRETREATEARLYBIRD for $300 off. For both the 1:1 and group intensives, paying in full also gets you 10% off Toxic Family Survival School.

How do I get there?

You’ll fly into a nearby airport. The retreat house will be within 90 minutes of it, and likely closer. My retreat coordinator will help with logistics. For the group intensive, we wrap up by 10 a.m. Sunday, and I recommend staying one more night locally before you fly home.

Can someone help me plan my travel?

Yes. My retreat coordinator, Katie, can arrange your flights, hotels and ground transportation for an additional fee. For 1:1 intensives, Katie’s coordination of a 4- or 5-star hotel stay is included, but the cost of the hotel, flights and ground transportation are not.

Do I need experience with therapy or somatic work?

Yes, it’s advised. These are deep-dive retreats. If you choose a 1:1, you’ll have two private sessions with me before your intensive. I also highly recommend enrolling in and graduating from Toxic Family Survival School before attending, but this is not required.

Can I bring my dog?

Because of my Airbnb’s limits, no other dogs are allowed, so I’m sorry, but you won’t be able to bring your own pet. My puppy, a service dog in training, and Katie’s service dog, Dottie, will be with us. Both are hypoallergenic and don’t shed.

How big is the group?

Groups will be 5–6 participants. Spots are limited so everyone gets real time and attention.

Are the group intensives co-ed?

The Bend group intensive (March 25–28, 2027) is co-ed. The Bozeman group intensive (April 8–11, 2027) is for women only.

I’m a man and can only attend in Bozeman. What should I do?

Please email [email protected], and we’ll see if we can meet your needs.

The retreat dogs

Our canine retreat team

For those of you who love dogs (and are missing Lennon!)

Lennon loves his new life in London, but the trip over was very tiring for him and me (he literally has two passports), so he will be staying in the UK.

I’ve been wanting to get Lennon a baby brother or sister, and I also needed a service dog for gluten detection for my celiac disease, so I’ll have that new pup, a service dog in training, with me for these retreats.

Her little nervous system is a top priority for me, so I will be following the instructions from her trainer to ensure her development goes according to plan. That means she may not always be available to everyone, but she will be around in specific doses.

My retreat coordinator, Katie, will also have her service dog, Dottie, with her. Unlike my pup, Dottie is happy to spend time with you, and she’s a lovely support while you do the work of healing.

Both Dottie and my pup are hypoallergenic and don’t shed.

Because of my Airbnb’s limits, no other dogs are allowed. I’m sorry, but you won’t be able to bring your own pet.
